Oregon sucks for obtaining a new title, if said owner is not the last registered owner.

If you can somehow get a bill of sale, or any kind of paper trail it's easy to get a replacement title. If the current person who possesses the vehicle isn't the last registered owner then if they can somehow show how they got the car that would count towards something. It's done constantly in Oregon (I see it when I look up old records when people order title histories)

I wonder if this may be a GT model based on the steering wheel and console? I believe the GT was a 73' only model and the instrument cluster looks like a 73'. Could also be something that was just swapped in after the fact. Unless this was a car I just HAD to have, I would not touch a car without a title unless it was planned to be for parts. Had a few too many problem in the past dealing with "lost" titles. Too bad, as it looks to be a decent car, especially if a GT.
